Community Rules

  1. Purpose of the Community

This community exists to support learning, reflection, and emotional growth.

Many people struggle with communication, social uncertainty, and understanding their own emotions.

This space is designed to help users learn from shared experiences — not to perform, compete, or seek validation.

We aim to create an environment that feels:

  • Respectful

  • Thoughtful

  • Safe to read

  • Safe to share, when you choose to

  1. Who This Community Is For

This community is intended for adults aged 18 and older who are interested in improving emotional awareness and communication skills.

It is for people who:

  • Want to learn from real-life experiences

  • Prefer reflection over debate

  • Respect different perspectives and boundaries

This community is not intended for:

  • Minors under the age of 18

  • Harassment, confrontation, or judgment

  • Self-promotion, attention-seeking, or performance

  • Professional therapy, diagnosis, or crisis intervention

  1. How to Participate

Participation in this community is intentionally simple.

Reading Comes First

You can browse and read posts without sharing anything.

Reading is a complete and valid way to participate.

Sharing Is Optional

If you choose to share:

  • Share only what you feel comfortable making visible to the community

  • You are never required to post or interact

  • There is no expectation to respond, explain, or engage further

Likes and Reports

  • Likes are a simple way to acknowledge a post, not a rating or ranking

  • Reports help keep the community safe and should be used in good faith

There are no comments, private messages, or direct replies by design — this helps reduce pressure and comparison.

  1. What You Can Share

You are welcome to share content related to:

  • Personal experiences involving communication or relationships

  • Moments of confusion, reflection, or growth

  • Emotional awareness and self-understanding

  • Everyday social situations that feel meaningful to you

When sharing, we encourage you to:

  • Speak from your own experience

  • Avoid identifying other individuals

  • Keep details general enough to protect privacy

  • Share with honesty, not perfection

You do not need to present solutions, lessons, or outcomes.

Unfinished thoughts and uncertainty are welcome here.

  1. What You Should Not Share

To keep this community safe and respectful, certain types of content are not allowed.

Please do not share content that:

  • Harasses, attacks, or humiliates others

  • Includes hate speech, discrimination, or demeaning language

  • Contains explicit sexual content or graphic violence

  • Encourages or glorifies harm to others

  • Promotes illegal activities

  • Shares personal or identifying information about others

  • Attempts to diagnose, label, or judge other people

This community is not a place to expose, confront, or call out others.

  1. Safety and Sensitive Topics

We recognize that emotional learning may involve difficult or vulnerable experiences.

You may share feelings of confusion, sadness, anxiety, or emotional struggle.

However, there are important boundaries to protect everyone’s safety.

Please do not:

  • Share detailed descriptions of self-harm or suicide methods

  • Encourage self-harm or harm to others

  • Use the community as a crisis support space

This community is not a substitute for professional mental health support.

If you or someone you know is in immediate danger, we encourage you to seek help from local emergency services or a qualified professional.

  1. Likes and Reports

Likes

Likes are meant to be a simple expression of acknowledgment or appreciation.

  • They are not a measure of value, popularity, or correctness

  • They do not rank users or content

  • They should not be interpreted as agreement or endorsement

Reports

Reports exist to help protect the community.

  • Use reports in good faith to flag content that may violate these guidelines

  • Do not use reports to silence perspectives you disagree with

  • Do not abuse the reporting system

Misuse of reporting tools may result in account restrictions.

  1. Moderation Approach

Moderation is guided by care, not punishment.

Our approach to moderation includes:

  • Reviewing content that is reported or clearly violates guidelines

  • Prioritizing safety and harm prevention

  • Taking action that is proportionate to the situation

Possible actions may include:

  • Removing or limiting access to content

  • Issuing warnings

  • Restricting or suspending accounts in serious or repeated cases

We do not guarantee perfect moderation, but we are committed to acting responsibly and transparently.

  1. Consequences of Violations

When community guidelines are violated, we may take action to protect the safety and integrity of the community.

Possible consequences include:

  • Removal or restriction of content

  • Temporary limitations on account activity

  • Suspension or permanent removal from the community

Actions are based on the nature and severity of the violation, as well as whether there is a pattern of repeated behavior.

Our goal is to maintain a respectful learning environment — not to punish, shame, or publicly single out users.

  1. Respecting Privacy and Boundaries

Respecting privacy is essential to this community.

You agree to:

  • Treat all shared content as confidential within the community

  • Not copy, screenshot, or distribute posts outside the app

  • Not attempt to identify, contact, or investigate other users

  • Not use community content for harassment, exposure, or retaliation

This community works because users trust that their shared experiences will be handled with care.

  1. Reporting Concerns and Appeals

If you encounter content that you believe violates these guidelines, you may use the reporting tools within the app.

Reports are reviewed to determine whether action is necessary.

If you believe your content was removed or restricted in error, you may contact us to request a review.

We aim to handle reports and appeals fairly and thoughtfully.

  1. Updates to These Guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time as the community evolves.

When changes are made:

  • We will update the effective date

  • Material updates may be communicated through the app or other appropriate means

Your continued participation in the community after updates take effect indicates acceptance of the revised guidelines.
